Where is Robert? Grief Kit geared for sibling youth loss.
This book is designed to help you, as a parent or friend, help a child cope with death. As the child works through Where is Robert? they will recognize their feelings of grief in the characters, especially in Chrissy and her dog Peanut.
Chrissy and Peanut are given a plain white box and a box of crayons to create a special memory box and memory journal of her brother Robert who has just died. They soon come to the realization that Robert lives in their memories and how comforting that is. The child is encouraged to create their very own special memory box and journal. Along with the book the child receives a 7 1/2 inches x 9 inches and 2 1/2 depth white box, a blank memory journal and a box of Crayola crayons. The child is offered to write to Chrissy and receive a letter back.

The death of a child at any age, shatters the parent's heart and causes a complicated grief which never goes away. Dr. Sue Hamby found the murdered body of her only child, Russ, on March 21, 2013, and started on a difficult and painful grief journey. She realized she would never get over the death of her child but had to learn to absorb the loss into her life until it became a part of who she was. Because of her faith in God, her mourning was eventually transformed into joy and her scars became stars. In her book, she touches the depths of your heart and soul by sharing her traumatic grief journey and how her painful scars of grief, bitterness, and brokenness were turned into stars for God's glory. Her story offers hope and healing to those who are struggling with grief and learning how to navigate the grief journey, using God as their GPS. (Dr. Sue Hamby)
