Services for Ronnie Lee Washburn, 70, of Belton are pending with Young's Daughters Funeral Home & Bereavement Center.

Mr. Ronnie Lee Washburn died on Monday, May 8, 2023 at a local hospital.

Ronnie L. Washburn was born on February 9, 1953 to Mr. Clarence Arthur Washburn and Lucille Washburn. Ronnie attended Belton schools until he learned trucking from his father. He worked for various companies until his retirement. His proudest moment was becoming a father in 1973 and being able to be the example of a hardworking father who taught his sons how to fish. Coach Washburn was a memorable mentor to the youth who played little league baseball for the City of Belton. His 9 years of coaching has impacted many in the community. Hobbies included fishing, and having daily coffee with his buddies at local various restaurants. Many days were spent watching little league and college world series baseball, and softball.

Survivors include his mother, Lucille Washburn; two sons, Bryan Washburn with wife Jeniece of Troy, Bradley Washburn with wife Amber of Baytown; two brothers, Freddie Washburn and wife Susan of Temple, Joe Washburn and wife Barbara of Belton; along with three grandchildren, Annabelle, Brackston, Cannon and one great grandchild, Ezra.

He is preceded in death by his father, Clarence "Arthur" Washburn; and one sister, Brenda Neil Arons.
