Raymond Lee McClay, 34. affectionately known as RJ, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas, after a short battle with Stage Four Cancer. He was born on November 1, 1989, in Hubbard, Texas to Mr. Raymond Lee McClay Sr. and Diana Elizabeth (Holder) McClay.
Raymond's journey through life was characterized by dedication and passion. He began his career at Above and Beyond Home Health before transitioning to Take 5 as a technician. In the realm of education, Raymond excelled both academically and athletically. He played pee wee football in his youth and went on to attend Belton High School where he impressed by playing varsity football as a freshman. His pursuit of knowledge led him to (BRTC) Black River Technical College, where he obtained his CNA certificate.
Those who knew Raymond described him as a sweet, heartfelt, and bubbly individual. Despite his quiet nature, he always wore a smile and showed profound respect by using phrases like "Yes Sir" and "Yes Ma'am." His warm personality left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him.

He also cherished moments watching sitcoms and serenading his wife with the theme song from Kings of Queens.
Raymond's proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly his loving relationship with his wife Kristina. Their love story began with a simple prank call from Kristina but blossomed into a deep connection that culminated in marriage on June 12, 2010. Together they adopted their beloved pet Cinnamon Roll.
