Nicolasa Ramos-Ortiz, 81, affectionately known as Rene, was born on May 26, 1943, in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Mr. Fernando Ramos and Petronila (Ortiz) Ramos. Throughout her life, Nicolasa exhibited a profound commitment to helping others. After graduating from Margarita Janer Palacios school, she pursued her passion by becoming a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She dedicated ten years of her professional life to working in a Puerto Rican hospital before transitioning to a role as a cook for the department of education. In every capacity, Nicolasa was known for her selflessness and her servant's heart, tirelessly putting the interests of others before her own.

Nicolasa's vibrant personality shone brightly. She was a loving and dedicated mother who had an innate ability to express her bubbly side, bringing joy to those around her. Her nurturing spirit extended not only to her family but also to her patients, who felt fortunate to be in her care. In July of 1972 She married the love her of life, Francisco Gonzalez and together they started their family. She was blessed to be a mother in 1973 with her daughter and again in 1975 with her son. She was a proud housewife while the kids were growing up. She returned back to the workforce when her daughter was 12 years old. Worked till her retirement.

Her love for family was unparalleled. Nicolasa is survived by her brother Ruben Ramos and sister-in-law Rosa Ramos, her children Nancy Serrano, Dr. Damary Gonzalez, and Juan F. Gonzalez, and her beloved son-in-law Jose M. Serrano. She was a proud grandmother to her cherished grandchildren Nancelis Serrano, Abigail D. Gonzalez, and Micaela I. Gonzalez. Additionally, she leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Throughout her life, Nicolasa found immense joy in the company of her family. She adored spending quality time with them and shared a profound love for her two dogs, dressing them in festive clothes and sharing in joyous moments. Her artistic talents in sewing and crafting further enriched her life, along with her love of singing and dancing with her adoring husband. Nicolasa's infectious positive energy touched the lives of countless individuals, creating lasting impressions.
