Neil Dey Hinds,
Neil Dey Hinds, a beloved father, dedicated sales representative, and friend to many, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024, in Temple, Texas. Known for his outgoing personality and big heart, Neil touched the lives of all those around him in a profound and positive way. His love for life was evident in his passions which included watching the hallmark channel, following sports - particularly as a die hard fan of the Oregon Ducks, and enjoying activities like fishing, golfing, and working out..
Born on July 15, 1957, Neil pursued his education with zeal, graduating from Katella High School in Anaheim, California before continuing his studies at Fullerton College, Cypress College, and Cal Lutheran College. Throughout his academic journey, he not only excelled in his studies but also showcased his athletic prowess by participating in football and basketball.
Neil's career at Cintas as a sales representative spanned many fruitful years until his retirement two years ago. Known as the "million dollar round table guy," Neil had the golden touch when it came to business - always emerging victorious. His dedication and work ethic were unmatched by many.
In his personal life, Neil found immense joy in the company of family and friends. He was particularly proud of his two daughters; Catherine Brittingham (Zach) and Christine Hinds. To them, he was not just a father but a guiding light and a source of unwavering support. He also shared a special bond with his nephew Matt Hinds (Chelsea), whom he loved as a son.
Tragically, Neil's journey was cut short after a brief battle with cancer that spread throughout his body. Despite the diagnosis on July 9th challenging him greatly, Neil faced this adversity with courage and dignity.
Neil's legacy lives on through those who survive him: his daughters Catherine and Christine; nephew Matt; brother Chris Hinds (Ida); sister Phyllis Hinds; as well as the cherished memories he created with countless friends and colleagues over the years.
A Memorial Service to honor Neil's life will be held on Saturday, August 10th at Young's Daughters Funeral Home & Bereavement Center in Temple, Texas with Pastor Grayson.
