Lillie May (Compton) Atallah, 82, of Belton, was born on July 13, 1941, peacefully passed away in Temple, Texas on Sunday, March 17, 2024. She was a woman of grace and strength, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by her family and friends.
Lillie was a dedicated mother and homemaker who found joy in caring for others. After raising her children, she extended her nurturing spirit to the local community as a caregiver. Her career was defined by compassion and selflessness.
A graduate of high school in Clarksville, Virginia, Lillie's kindness and unwavering faith touched the lives of many. She possessed a remarkable ability to bring laughter to those around her with her witty rhymes and cheerful demeanor. Her determination and faith in the Lord shone brightly through her actions.
In addition to her caregiving work, Lillie enjoyed hobbies such as gardening, garage sales with family, and sewing - even creating homemade clothes for Walmart. Her creativity and love for these activities brought joy to those she knew.
Lillie's proudest accomplishment was her marriage to Frederick "Fred" Atallah, whom she loved dearly. Together they shared a deep faith and commitment to prayer. Lillie's devotion to God was evident in how she raised her children with strong religious values.She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Temple.
Lillie May Atallah was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 22 years, Frederick Atallah; one son, Billy Vaughan;one daughter, Jackie Vaughan; beloved daughter-in-law, Ruth Vaughan, several brothers, and one sister.
She is survived by three daughters: Lisa (Howard Tweedle), Janice (Art Ayres), Donna (Mike Riedman); one son Tony Vaughan; one brother, Frank Compton; eleven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, March 20th at 11:00 am at Resthaven Cemetery in Belton, Texas to honor and celebrate the life of Lillie May Atallah.
