Joseph Jerome Sliva

Joseph J. "Joe" Sliva, 87, of Temple, TX passed away Friday, February 16, 2024, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's.
Joe was preceded in death by his wife Deanna in 2014. He is survived by his three children Colleen Greer (Bobby), Darren Sliva (Marisa) and Beth Goodridge (Tim). In addition, he is also survived by his grandchildren Brandon (Jamie), Elena (Adam), Dara (Roger), Aaron (Jennifer), Jordan (Breanna), John, William and five great grandchildren with one on the way. Sister, Carol Carsey.
Joe was a devoted husband, father, granddaddy, and great granddaddy who loved his family with passion and lived out his Catholic Christian faith in a very open and honest way.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1312 Dallas Street, Waco, Texas at 12pm on Friday, February 23rd. Rosary will be recited at 11:30am prior to Mass. Internment will follow immediately afterwards at Waco Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank the staff at Mercy House in Temple, TX as well as the hospice team at Amedisys for all their care and devotion for our dad in his final years.
