Johnny " Doc" Gale Murdoch, 68, of Temple, Texas
Services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, November 27th at Young's Daughters Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Larry Townsend officiating, Cremation to follow services and guests are welcomed for fellowship at Calvary Baptist Church in Temple, Texas.
Johnny "Doc" Gale Murdoch went to his heavenly home on Thursday, November 11, 2021.
Johnny G. Murdoch was born on April 11, 1953 to R.G. Murdoch and Hazel Mildred Gray in Kermit, Texas. He married Bertha "Ann" Townsend in 1972 and together they started their family. He enlisted the US ARMY from Abilene, Texas and was stationed in Ludwigsburg, Germany after over 20 years as a Multi Channel Communications Systems Operator- acting as an Army Postal Servicemen, his awards included; Good Conduct Medal, Army Commendation, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Noncommission Proficiency Ribbon, National Defense Ribbon, and Army Achievement Medal.- 2, He retired as SSG. He started a second career and retired as a German Golf Course Manager. He will be remembered for being a lead singer known as "Doc" in a German country band in the early 70's touring with his three children. His family was very proud of him and all his accomplishments. He was truly a Starlite in their eyes and will hold the traveling tours dear to their hearts. Upon his return to Texas. he met and married his soulmate "Frances "Ann" Ellis.
Mr. Murdoch is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Frances "Ann" Ellis; a sister, Jerry Kay; Son, James Daniel Williams; a Grandson, Joseph Andrew Clary.
Survivors left to cherish the memories are a brother, Ronald Gary Murdoch and wife Isebell of Abilene, Texas; two daughters, Rebekah Wyant and husband David of Nolanville, Texas
and Hope Harris and husband Billy of Eddy, Texas along with eight granddaughters, Pascha, Sara, Chrystal, Tabitha, Stormie, Savannah, Dana, Lyndzy; four grandsons, William, James, Justin, and Tyler, and four great granddaughters, Theresa, LeeAnn, Evamae, and Raelynn; one great grandson, Rylen. Several Nieces and Nephews as well as cousins
Visitation with the family and viewing will be held on Friday, November 26th from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Young's Daughters Funeral Home and Bereavement Center.
Arrangements are under the direction of Sabrina N. Young of Young's Daughters Funeral Home and Bereavement Center in Temple, Tx.
