Dean Owen Richardson

Dean (Chip) Richardson Jr., 56, of Henderson, TX, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday Jan 10, 2024. Born in Palo Alto, California to Babette and Dean Richardson Sr. He moved to Oak Grove, Missouri where he attended school. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1990 as a Bradley Fighting Vehicle Mechanic. He excelled to rank E-4 and within that same year was deployed in support of Desert Storm, serving his county honorably. Within the four years he served he received the Army Commendation Medal as well as the Southwest Asia Service Medal. Following his military career, he began working for Visual Techniques in Longview, Texas where he worked in fabrication and design. He is preceded in death by his beloved step-son Nathan. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Richardson of Kilgore, and his two sons Zachary and Nicholas Richardson of Oak Grove, Missouri. The family would like to thank the community of Henderson County for their support over the years as he struggled with his addiction. The arrangements are under the direction of Sabrina Young at Young’s Daughters Funeral Home and Bereavement Center.
