Damion Jones

Damion Jones, born on July 21, 2024, in Temple, Texas, brought immeasurable joy and anticipation to his family even before his arrival. His, Shijay Jones, discovered her pregnancy when she was just three weeks along in November. As she nourished herself for Damion's sake, the bond between mother and child grew stronger with each passing day. The sweet melodies of old hip hop music served as a to their connection, fostering a sense of unity before the little one had even taken his first breath.

Surrounded by the love and excitement of his family, Damion was eagerly awaited as a cherished addition to their lives. Despite the generosity of gifts showered upon them, his mother remained humble and unassuming, preferring to keep the spotlight away from herself. Guided by the wisdom of the women in her family, she was well-prepared for what lay ahead as her due date drew near.

Tragically, on July 21, 2024, at a local hospital in Temple, Texas, Damion's journey came to a sudden and heartbreaking halt as he was born stillborn. Though his time on earth was brief, he left a lasting impact as an emblem of an uncomplicated pregnancy and a tranquil spirit that characterized him even in his brief time with us.

Damion will forever be cherished and remembered by all who were touched by the story of his anticipated arrival and untimely departure. In preserving his memory, he lives on through the hearts of those who knew and loved the Jones family.

Damion is survived by his loving mother, Shijay Jones; devoted grandmother Shawnta Jones; two great-grandmothers Nicolette Macintosh and Mattie Jones; as well as two caring aunts Shamijay Jones and Mosha Jones. May they find solace in remembering Damion's brief but significant presence among them.

Rest in peace, sweet Damion. Your memory will be carried forward with love and tenderness by those who held you dear.
