Carlos Cruz Canul

Services for Carlos Cruz Canul, 33, of Temple, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Young's Daughters Funeral Home. 

Carlos Cruz Canul died on Thursday, July 21, 2022 in Temple, Texas. 

Carlos was born on June 3,1989 by John Galindo Canul and Monica Gutierrez in Temple, Texas. Carlos grew up the oldest of his siblings. He was known for playing football. After graduating from Temple High School, he transitioned into hospitality working serving at various local restaurants. He was a proud father to his daughter, Leticia. Carlos was particular about his fashion. His personality was funny and his favorite hobby included getting tattoos and cutting hair. He spent his time drawing, and watching movies especially Michael Meyers and which hand in hand as his favorite holiday was Halloween. 

Survivors include his parents; grandparents, Luciano Gutierrez, one daughter, Leticia Canul; two brothers, Johnny Canul Jr., Emilio Canul; seven sisters, Cristina Canul, Maria Canul, Carina Canul, Maya Canul, Gabriela Canul, Stella Ruane, and Camille Canul along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.   

Carlos is preceded in death by his grandparents, Maria Fernandez, Maria Polendo, Cruz Canul Jr.; one Uncle, Pablo Hernandez.

Visitation will be on Friday, August 12, 2022 beginning at 6:00 P.M. with the rosary being recited at 7:00 P.M.
