Services for (pet) Belle Clark, 14, of Belton were held privately.
Belle Clark died on Sunday, June 18, 2023 peacefully at her home.
Belle Clark, a rescue, found her forever home with the Clarks when they adopted her on August 4, 2014. She proudly protected her human family Daniel and Glynis Clark, along with their two children, Deacon and Georgia. Belle was vital member of “Team Clark”, who took her role of “Team Clark watch dog” very seriously. One of her favorite ways to do this was alerting her family of impending danger, such as solicitors trying sell solar panels or Amazon package deliveries. Belle had a personality that was a little wary of strangers, but once she accepted you, you were forever a part of her “pack”.
Her loyal devotion and determination to never be apart from her “pack” could be both endearing and destructive. Anyone who knew Belle knew that she possessed a knack for escaping even the most impossible situations,. Whether crate, bedroom, fence, garage door; you name it, she conquered it! While Belle felt the role of Protector was her most important contribution to the family, they knew she was so much more than this. In her early years, she enjoyed running next to her dad’s bike, riding in a dog trailer behind him, or snuggling in her mom’s bed (in the pillows, of course). When the twins were born, Belle took on the new role of “big sister”. She was always tender and attentive, but especially under their high chairs! Belle was a friend to both dogs and cats: Sammy, Bitsy, Osa, Pippi, and Gabe, to name a few... But after her ACL surgery in 2021, she stayed active by playing with BEST dog friend, Poppy. In her later years, she could often be found at her daddy’s feet, whether laying next to his chair while he was working, being his moral support as he read the bedtime Bible story, or sleeping right next to his side of the bed. What a faithful companion she was; such a GOOD GIRL.
Arrangements are under the direction of Sabrina N. Young at Young's Daughters Funeral Home.
