Angel Q. Serrano

Angel Q. Serrano, 75, a beloved figure to many, was born on October 25, 1949, in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Joaquin Serrano, and Lisa (Ruiz) Serrano. He peacefully passed away in his sleep on Monday, January 6, 2025, at a local nursing home in Belton, Texas, leaving behind warm memories and a legacy of laughter and love.

Angel dedicated much of his professional life to the field of accounting, earning his degree and initially practicing in Puerto Rico. In the mid-1980s, he relocated to Texas where he found a new path, taking on work at Ft. Hood as a laborer. His commitment to his career and ability to adapt to change is a testament to his character and resilience.

In addition to his professional achievements, Angel was known for his vibrant personality. He had a remarkable ability to find joy in life, often characterized by his infectious laughter and humor. He had a love for singing and cherished moments spent with family and friends. A strong faith guided his life, as he was a devoted Baptist who found solace in the word of God and spent significant time reading the Bible.

His family was always at the forefront of his heart. He made it a priority to maintain a close and loving connection with them, often traveling to share in their lives. His proudest accomplishment, as he often stated, was the relationships he nurtured and the bonds he created with his loved ones.

Angel is survived by his sister, Querina Lopez of Belton, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Joaquin Serrano and Lisa (Ruiz) Serrano.

A graveside service in honor of Angel Q. Serrano will be held at Killeen Cemetery in Killeen, Texas, on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, starting at 1:00 PM. This will be a time for family and friends to come together to celebrate his life and the indelible mark he left on all who knew him.
